A toddler is injured after being struck by an MTA bus.

The incident occurred Tuesday at the intersection of Greenmount Avenue and 33rd Street in North Baltimore.

MTA officials say a mother and her two kids were leaving an area store when her youngest child broke away and ran into the roadway. The toddler reportedly ran into the side of a Red Line Bus, whose driver "took evasive action" according to the MTA.

The child was taken by his mother to Union Memorial hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
