BALTIMORE — After nearly a decade of serving the Mid-Town Belvedere neighborhood, The Brass Tap Baltimore announced plans to close at the end of the month.

"This decision didn't come easily. We fought hard to keep this place going, but it's the right call for us now," the business said in a statement.

WMAR-2 News reached out to MCB Real Estate, the owners of the building where The Brass Tap Baltimore is located, for comment on the pending closure and is waiting to hear back.

The business added that it wanted customers to hear about the closure directly from them.

Located beneath The Fitzgerald Apartments, the restaurant and bar has offered an array of activities for patrons to enjoy, including trivia nights and jazz brunches.

With just under one week remaining until the business closes on August 31, The Brass Tap is offering one final Jazz Brunch on August 30 and one last Happy Hour.
