The Maryland Zoo unveils new animal webcams

The Maryland Zoo now has live cameras in some of its animal habitats, and you can check them out from your home!

Two of the cameras are at the newly expanded and renovated African Journey habitats.

There's also a flamingo camera and some at Penguin Coast.

Most animals are in usually view during the zoo's public hours from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. daily.

The zoo is also hosting a live cam contest until Friday, July 12.

Viewers who spot mascot Rita the Giraffe on the Giraffe Cam will have the chance to win a coupon for a free Giraffe Feeding Experience.
