Baltimore is working to make homelessness far less common throughout the city.

The evening of unexpected delights brought out hundreds as people raised money for the organization, "The Journey Home' which focuses on a ten year plan to end a majority of homelessness in Baltimore.

People at the event, including Quiera Martin say it's not only important to focus on housing, but dealing with other aspects that cause people to be out on the streets; “I feel like if there were some type of awareness and something that we can do to do something that coincides with each with mental illness and homelessness, i think you'd only have half the problems that we have in our neighborhoods.”

Recording artist Brandy took the stage for this year's fundraiser which was themed 'Building Up Baltimore Brick by Brick'.
