The gown at the museum

Posted

Aunt Jean saw it first way back in the 40’s at a bridal shop in St. Louis. She got married in it. Next up was Mom followed by Aunt Joan.

Then in the 1989’s Jan Huling went to her Mom and asked: “Where’s your wedding dress I want to wear it”. Jan found it all rolled up and squished inside a closet.  She brought it to life and now after her mom's death, she has brought it to life again.

Using a 3D printer to take the original white gown and using LEGO-like blocks she made her wedding gown. She took four months to bead it and now it is on display at the American Visionary Arts Museum.
