The long-held tradition of Sunrise at Old Hilltop kicks off Tuesday at Pimlico, giving fans a chance to get up close and personal with some of the horses and trainers at Pimlico.

Preakness Week begins with a 20-minute walking tour of the backstretch and grandstand. From 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., fans can watch the horses train, meet their horsemen and owners and grab a few souvenirs.

Admission is free and tours run on a first come, first served basis every morning through Friday.

"Sunrise Tours is offered for free to anyone," Sunrise Tours leader Fran Burns said in a news release. "We're inviting people in for free to come and see what goes on here and have them back during Laurel and Pimlico to watch the races.”

Parking for Sunrise at Old Hilltop is in the Rogers Avenue lot at the intersection of Northern Parkway and Woodcrest Avenue.
