Store donated $10,000 in furniture to Children's House

The Believe in Tomorrow Children’s House at Johns Hopkins is getting a new look inside.

Bassett Furniture sent a truck with nearly $10,000 worth of furniture donations Wednesday morning. The Children’s House helps critically ill children and their families relax inside a home while they’re being treated at the Johns Hopkins Children Center.

"The donation today is going to provide furniture in almost every room, a piece here, a piece there. We are very appreciative. We don't have a budget for those kinds of things and their generous offer is really going to allow us to really refurbish a number of those areas to create that home away from home atmosphere,” Mary Anne Davis, the VP & COO of the Children’s House, said.

The Children’s House is getting new upholstered furniture in just about every one of their fifteen rooms.

This is Bassett’s 17th delivery to a charity in the last three years.
