Kids at the Kennedy Krieger School have a new reason to scream and play!
A Power-Up playground was donated by BGE, and was designed for students with disabilities. It's built for kids in kindergarten to the eighth grade.
The playground opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

The goal of the playground is to foster development, balance, coordination, and proprioceptive awareness. It will also address students' sensory needs through movement, tactile, visual, auditory, and kinesthetic opportunities.
Overall, the goal of the playground is to create an environment that will build confidence and skills at the same time.
