BALTIMORE — Screams and signs took over downtown Baltimore as President Donald Trump made his way into town.

For the first time since he got into a Twitter spat with Congressman Elijah Cummings and called the city rat infested among other things.

“I’m totally insulted at the way our president spoke about his city,” Protester Virginia Burns said. “I’m insulted that he is not the president of all of us, just a few. That he would denigrate an American City that is frankly one of the best cities in the whole country.”

Patty Fallon and a group of Trump supporters stood across the street from the protesters to show their support for the president.

“Everything he’s doing for our country, everything he’s fighting for fighting for our Bill of Rights,” Fallon said. “Fighting for our sovereign country and sovereignty instead of the globalist agenda and so we stand with him 100 percent.”

At points the protest turned ugly.

We didn’t see any physical violence seen---but Baltimore Police force had to step in at points.

“We’re trying to be as diplomatic and as controlled as possible,” Kathryn Gerrard, a Trump supporter said. “As you can see they are getting out of hand and they are being a little ridiculous with their rants and their raids. Their ranting their profanity is off the charts.”

When the motorcade zipped by the crowd loudly chanted an expletive at the president.

“Trump doesn’t know anything about Baltimore,” Christ Tallent said. “Trump says living in Baltimore is like living in Hell, that it’s infested with rats. Trump and the GOP Members of Congress are the real rats. Their the ones responsible for the problems that cities like Baltimore has.”
