Baltimore City announced several early dismissals Tuesday over heating issues.

The closures were announced following the city's third Code Blue alert issued this winter. The alert has been extended through Wednesday at 10 a.m., according to Baltimore City Health Commissioner Dr. Leana Wen.
Code Blue alerts are issued by the Baltimore City Health Commissioner when temperatures and wind chills are 13 degrees or lower or when conditions pose a significant threat to the health of vulnerable people living in the city.

The following Baltimore City schools will close at 12 p.m. Tuesday:
- Edgecombe Circle Elementary/Middle
- Calverton Elementary/Middle
- Armstead Gardens Elementary/Middle
- The Crossroads Charter School
