The National Aquarium in Baltimore has a new inhabitant in a Maryland-themed exhibit.
Raven, a loggerhead turtle hatchling, will make a new home in the Maryland: Mountains to Sea gallery for the next year. The turtle weighed 91 grams and was four inches from head to tail when she arrived at the aquarium.
Loggerhead Turtles are endangered.
"If they survive their first year, loggerheads can grow to be the largest of all hard-shelled sea turtles and are an integral part of maintaining healthy marine ecosystems," according to a release.
