Red light, speed cameras to return to Baltimore

Red light and speed cameras are officially coming back to Baltimore.

The Board of Estimates approved a contract Wednesday with three separate companies hired to implement the program.

American Traffic Solutions, Inc. has been chosen to operate the city's speed cameras. Conduent State and Local Solutions, Inc. has been selected to operate the red light cameras. MRA Digital, LLC was hired to calibrate the cameras. 

Red light camera fines will cost $75. Speed cameras come with a $40 fine.

The program was scrapped four years ago because of complaints of unwarranted tickets issued.
