Grammy and Academy Award winning rapper, philanthropist and activist Common will perform at a concert in support of Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby’s re-election campaign.

“I'm excited to come back to Baltimore to support Marilyn Mosby's re-election as State's Attorney,” said Common. “She is a true champion for the people of Baltimore and around the country. Her victory will represent a critical step forward towards justice and equity in America."

“Common is one of the preeminent artists of our era and he has distinguished himself by using his platform to elevate the social consciousness of our country,” said Mosby. “I'm incredibly proud to have earned his support."

Common, however, isn’t returning to Baltimore to only support Mosby. He also plans to demonstrate his commitment to the city and its residents. He filmed his movie "Luv" and his critically acclaimed video "Black America" in Baltimore, so he’s a frequent visitor to the city.

In addition to the concert, Common will also appear with Mosby at a free community event earlier in the day. Details are pending, but the concert will take place on June 3 at The Assembly Room at 5:00pm.
