Protestors will gather Thursday to show their support for the dozens of employees out of work at the Boathouse Canton restaurant.

Organizers plan to gather outside the federal immigration offices in Baltimore from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to show solidarity with the more than 30 workers who quit the Boathouse Canton after the feds requested employment files.

"Despite the fact the restaurant's paper work was in compliance workers fled the restaurant and their jobs fearing they would be separated from their families and love ones," organizers said on Facebook. "The restaurant has set up fund for these displaced workers. This illustrates more than ever the need to shut ICE down and protect our fellow workers, neighbors and friends from terror."

Managers at the Boathouse have said those files were turned over and that they were in compliance.

The restaurant's owners created the "Heart of the House" fund to support the workers. A portion of the restaurant's revenue will help the displaced families.
