The cycle of homelessness is one that's hard to escape, but in Baltimore City Tuesday, a push to spur change.

More than 90 organizations and 2,000 volunteers came together to help the homeless in Charm City at United Way of Central Maryland's Project Homeless Connect Event.

Each volunteer was matched with a homeless adult or family, then took them around to the more than 150 services offered at the event.

The services ranged from dental care, to medical screenings, and also included housing and employment information.

"Its good for people who don't know, because I didn't know, and without the right guidance,  it's not just going to fall in your lap," says Cassandra Wilson, who attended Thursday's event.

This was United Way of Central Maryland's 4th Project Homeless Connect Event.
