Baltimore Police have confirmed they're investigating a police involved shooting inside a University of Maryland behavioral health building, located at 701 W. Pratt Street.
Officers received a call for an armed man threatening people inside the location.
Upon their arrival police observed the man acting "erratically" and attempted to intervene and calm the situation. At some point the suspect charged resulting in at least one officer firing their weapon and striking the man. He is currently in critical condition.
The location is near both the University of Maryland, Baltimore's campus, which includes University of Maryland Medical Center, and just a few blocks from Camden Yards, where the Orioles are scheduled to play the Seattle Mariners at 3 p.m.
