An area hit hard by the April riots in west Baltimore wants to strengthen ties in the neighborhood.
The Penn-North Community Center is giving away 6,000 pounds of food.
Boxes loaded with fresh produce were delivered, and a number of people left with bags full of fresh fruits and vegetables Wednesday.
The Penn-North Community Center is located on N. Carey Street, just blocks away from a CVS store that was burned down during the unrest.
