An elderly man died after being hit by a pickup truck in northeast Baltimore Tuesday night.
Fire Department Spokesman Sam Johnson said emergency crews were called to the intersection of E. Coldspring Lane and Loch Raven Boulevard at 8:52 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck.
Police said when crews arrived they found a unconscious man lying in the street.
Investigators believe the man was standing in the 1500 block of Cold Spring Lane when he was struck by a Dodge pickup truck.
It is unclear if the man was trying to cross the street when the collision occurred. The truck and its driver remained at the scene.
The victim, identified only as an elderly male, was taken to Johns Hopkins in cardiac arrest,. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
