Nine dilapidated properties were deconstructed to revitalize the community in Park Heights Wednesday.
The bricks, structural lumber and other architectural elements were salvaged to be reused.
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake joined local leaders and community partners for the Vacants to Value deconstruction event.
Demolition took place in the 4600 Block of Park Heights Avenue from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
