Pamela Davis has been appointed the new civilian Director of Police Development and Training Academy for Baltimore Police.
Davis served as deputy chief of police for Anne Arundel County where she designed several programs for the police department, according to a release from Baltimore Police.
"She led the Department's effort to become the first agency in Maryland to equip its police officers with Naloxone, which reverses drug overdoses. The program has become a model for many other law enforcement agencies across the state. She also formed a new unit that combines sworn officers with licensed clinicians to connect the mentally ill with resources that can help them stabilize their lives," the release states.
