Operation P.U.S.L.E. (People United to Live in a Safe Environment) served pre-Thanksgiving meals Monday.

The group whipped up a holiday dinner for those in need at the Zion Baptist Church on Caroline Street.

"We don't want to just wait until Thanksgiving, we want to do it now, we want to give people a meal today and let them worship with us and have a good meal today," said Samuel Redd of Operation P.U.L.S.E.

Johns Hopkins and Baltimore police volunteered along with church members to serve dinner. After the feast, the group had a service to honor those who have dedicated themselves to serving the community.

P.U.S.L.E. is a crime prevention program working to remove crime and violence from the East Baltimore community.
