One person has died after being injured in a house fire Sunday afternoon in the Remington neighborhood.
A spokeswoman for the Baltimore City Fire Department confirms crews were called to a one-alarm fire at 319 W 27th Street at 1:42 p.m.
The fire was under control by 2:04 p.m. but not before it spread to the neighboring home, 321 W 27th Street, where a resident was home. Firefighters rescued the victim out of the home but was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The person later died at the hospital. Officials are working to identify the resident.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
