One killed and another injured in Saturday shooting

BALTIMORE — On Saturday, at approximately 1:19 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Monroe Street to investigate a reported shooting.

Officers located a 24 year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by ambulance and pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Homicide detectives are investigating. Moments later, a 25 year-old male suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds walked into an area hospital seeking treatment.

The walk-in shooting victim told investigators that he was in the 1900 block of Mosher Street when the gunfire erupted he was wounded. A friend drive him to the hospital.
