A man died after a house fire in West Baltimore Thursday morning.
Fire crews were called to the 1700 Block of North Monroe Street just before 12:20 a.m. Firefighters reported smoke and flames coming from the home.
The man was found on the second floor. The cause of death is under investigation.
Members from the crime scene and forensics units, along with officials from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives were on the scene of the fire.
Officials have not released the cause of the fire at this time.
So far this year, there have been 28 fire deaths in Baltimore.
