Baltimore Police said an officer fired a gun during a robbery attempt at a liquor store in northeast Baltimore Tuesday.
UPDATE: Police-involved shooting foils robbery
No one was hit, but two suspects are in custody, according to police.
WATCH:
An owner of Harford Road Liquors at Harford and Moravia Roads told ABC2 that around 8:30 a.m., the suspects parked a red SUV near the store's front entrance. When they were told to move their vehicle, a suspect held a gun to the owner's and forced them inside the store.
Police said a citizen saw suspicious activity and alerted the authorities. An officer responded to the scene to find two armed suspects in the middle of a robbery. The officer fired a shot, hitting a glass refrigerator inside the store.
One suspect suspect surrendered. The second barricaded himself inside the refrigerator area, police said. Additional officers arrived and arrested the second suspect without incident.
The suspects are described as an 18-year-old male, and a 21-year-old male. The officer is a 16-year veteran.
The incident is still under investigation.
