BALTIMORE — A new procedure for people who reach settlements with the City of Baltimore.

All settlements will now be recommended as an agenda item to the city's spending board so all parties involved can speak.

This comes after the mayor signed an executive order ending so called "gag orders".

"Now both sides agree to not disparage, not to defame while at the same time both sides are permitted to talk about the case and in fact, claimants are now encouraged to talk about their case," said Baltimore City Solicitor Andre Davis.

Members of City Council still plan to go forward with their own bill to ban gag orders.
