Kids in West Baltimore are ringing in their Monday with a brand new playground in the Harlem Park neighborhood!
A Ribbon-Cutting ceremony for the Catholic Charities' Head Start playground was on Monday afternoon and the Mayor of Baltimore, as well as the Governor, came for the occasion.
The playground was donated by T. Rowe Price and was named after Vernon Reid. Reid used to live in the area and generously gave to his neighborhood for decades.
During the ribbon cutting, Reid was surprised to find out the park was named after him.
