BALTIMORE — The National Communication Association 105th Annual Convention kicks off on Thursday and every year, the association holds a day of service.
This year, volunteers serviced the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore. Communication scholars packed bags with school supplies and worked on several projects for the Boys & Girls Club.
"Its just our way of saying thanks really to the communities that host us every year, we find usually some way to give back in some way to the community," said Trevor Parry-Giles, Executive Director, National Communication Association. "Because we know we fly in and we do our meetings, we're also very appreciative of the hospitality we find across the nation."
The day of service has previously supported projects in Salt Lake City, Dallas and New Orleans.
