NACA Homeownership event comes to Baltimore

Future homebuyers in Baltimore have a new resource to help them get the home of their dreams. 

The Neighborhood Assistant Corporation of America's (NACA) Achieve the Dream Tour homeownership event is for residents seeking assistance with buying a home.  

The five-day event will take place at the Radisson Hotel Downtown Baltimore- Inner Harbor on W. Fayette St. It is scheduled to run Thursday through Monday, April 30 from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

The Achieve the Dream event will feature mortgage workshops, one-on-one counseling sessions and same day mortgage pre-approvals.  

According to officials, participants can buy a single, multi-family home or condo anywhere in the area. Repairs and renovation costs can be built into the mortgage.  

Officials said thousands are expected to attend the event including first time home buyers, with low and moderate income.  

Current homeowners with an unaffordable mortgage can also to attend the event to speak with NACA HomeSave counselor about modifying their mortgage.  

Attendees are asked to bring several documents including recent pay stubs, bank statements, tax returns, W-2s and credit card statements.  

Walk-ins are welcome.
