The Royal Theater and Community Heritage Corporation unveiled a photomontage to honor Baltimore's African-American sports legacy.
The athletes accomplished record-breaking achievements in several sporting categories including, Horse Racing, Football, Track and Field, Basketball, and Baseball.
The mural was revealed Saturday at the "Avenue Bakery" on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Archivist Stuart Hudgins used rare photos from his collection to create the photomontage.
The event was held during the 6th Annual Courtyard Jazz Series Kick-Off.
