M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore will host a Veterans Job Fair, for former military personnel and their spouses, on Thursday.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and features more than 55 exhibitors looking to fill hundreds of open jobs, targeting military veterans and their spouses for those open positions. The event is run by Recruit Military, an organization that aims to help veterans and their spouses during job searches, connecting them with employers who see the value in employing people with their backgrounds.
"Military spouses face a particular challenge: they often find their labor market activities, including choices over whether to work, how many hours, and in what occupation, to be subject to the geographic and temporal constraints imposed by their active duty spouse,” Recruit Military said in a release. The group has held 28 other events in Baltimore, drawing nearly 7,000 attendees and more than 1,200 exhibitors.
