BALTIMORE — A deadly motorcycle crash caused miles of backups along I-95 during Tuesday morning rush hour.
It happened before 7am on the northbound side, just prior to Russell Street (MD-295) in Baltimore City.
Maryland's Transportation Authority said three vehicles were involved including a Suzuki motorcycle, Hyundai sedan, and Chevy SUV.
The motorcycle rider died at the scene.
Both of the other drivers were not injured.
Due to all lanes being blocked, traffic at times reached back to I-695.
State Highway crews eventually detoured traffic onto Caton Avenue.
The roadway reopened by 11am.
There is no word on what caused the collision. The rider's name was not released.
