A customer of MOM's Organic Market in Hampden found and returned the engagement ring an employee of the store lost about a week before.
The woman said she saw the ABC2 News story, checked her grocery bags and saw the family heirloom Saturday and returned it to its rightful owner.
Christina Leffel was ecstatic to get the ring back, saying in an email, "I am so incredibly grateful and thankful that you all chose to do a story about it!! I cannot express my appreciation enough!!"
She shared her appreciation on Facebook as well to all of her friends and family who shared the story to get her ring back.
Leffel works at MOM's and was bagging groceries when the ring slipped off her finger. While the ring was missing, the love between her and her fiancé remained strong.
Now the happy couple have been throwing the idea around to plant an avocado tree as a reminder of the community's generosity.
