Most patients were evacuated from the main building of MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital Wednesday afternoon due to a fire, hospital officials said.
The smoke from a laundry room fire traveled through building ventilation and into hallway.
the fire was extinguished within 45 minutes, and patients were returned to their rooms. No patients were in any danger, a hospital spokeswoman said.
