On Wednesday Mayor Catherine Pugh joined sponsors and volunteers to prepare for the city's Annual Back to School Rally this weekend.
The rally will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018, from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM on the War Memorial Plaza!
The event is free and open to the public. Families can expect:
- Backpacks & School Supplies (while they last). Parents must be with Students.
- Childhood Immunizations by BCHD in War Memorial Bldg. (MUST bring CURRENT RECORDS).
- Fresh Harvest Giveaway by MD Food Bank (while it lasts). Bring a tote bag.
- Arts & Crafts. Game Truck. Face Painting, Inflatable Slide, two Children fun zones and more!!!
Free parking will also be available at the Baltimore Street garage located at 15 Guilford Avenue.
The rally is the Mayor's push to make sure all students in the city are fully prepared for the new school year which starts September 4, 2018.
