Mayor Catherine Pugh is scheduled to reveal her plan to help fill the $130 million budget gap faced by Baltimore City Schools Monday.
The funding announcement comes as a budget shortfall threatens to layoff up to a 1,000 workers.
Pugh will be joined by City Schools CEO Dr. Sonja Santelises and members of the General Assembly. The announcement at 4:15 p.m. at Lawyers’ Mall in Annapolis.

School principals have also spoken out against the budget shortfall, as they're expected to submit their individual school budgets for 2018 on Monday.
BUILD is asking the city to increase its contribution to schools from 20 percent of the budget to 35 percent, which would be about $50 million.
