Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby's reelection campaign released a statement Friday saying it was a mistake to engage with Quincey Gamble while he had pending matters.  Gamble is facing assault and harassment charges.

According to court documents, Gamble has two pending cases for assault and harassment in Baltimore City Circuit Court.

Mosby released a statement regarding the situation and his involvement in the campaign:

"Our campaign contracted with Mr. Gamble to assist with political strategy. However, it was a mistake to engage with him while he had pending matters. Earlier today he severed ties with the campaign."

Mosby also stated that Gamble was never the campaign manager in her State's Attorney reelection bid.
