An 18-year-old Baltimore resident reaches the rank of Eagle Scout in historic fashion.
On Saturday at a court of honor ceremony, Jahid Carr became his scout troop’s first African American Eagle Scout in a decade.
Making his journey even more amazing is the fact that Jahid is autistic.
Annually, less than six percent of Boy Scouts reach the title of Eagle.
This Fall, Jahid enters his senior year at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, where he will also be applying to colleges.
