Man walking home badly beaten, robbed by large group of juveniles

BALTIMORE (WMAR) — Baltimore Police are investigating after a man was badly beaten and robbed by a large group of juveniles.

It happened last Thursday, just before 8:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of New Hope Circle.

The 53-year-old victim told police he was walking home from the Fayette Street post office when he was approached.

According to a police report, the group punched and kicked the man, took his wallet and backpack, then fled the area.

Afterwards, the victim was able to walk home and have his daughter call 911.

In the report, police wrote that the victim had both eyes bruised, and suffered several cuts to the face and ear.

Police tell WMAR-2 News that they reviewed area camera footage, that showed about 15 juveniles attacking the victim.

No arrests have been made so far in the case.

The victim is still hospitalized with serious injuries.
