Man shot while driving stolen vehicle, victim drives self to hospital after being shot in head

BALTIMORE (WMAR) — Baltimore Police are investigating two shootings that took place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The first happened just after 5 p.m., when police say a man drove himself to the hospital after being shot in the back of the head.

Detectives believe the victim was shot in the 1800 block of Ramblewood Avenue in the city's Northeast District.

There is no word on his condition.

About three hours later officers in the Eastern District were dispatched to the area of Federal and Washington Streets.

There, a 19-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds to the body.

Investigators later found out that the victim was shot while driving a stolen car in the 1500 block of Chapel Street.

Police say he's expected to make a full recovery. His name wasn't released and its unclear if he was or will be charged in connection to the stolen car.

No arrests have been made in either case.
