BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a shooting on the city's west side.

The department said officers were called to the scene of a shooting in the 4900 block of Reisterstown Road in the Park Heights area.

When officers arrived, they found a man who appeared to be shot multiple times.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Homicide detectives were called to investigate due to the severity of his injuries.
