Man killed by off-duty officer during robbery attempt in Northeast Baltimore identified

Baltimore City Police released the name of the man who was shot and killed by an off-duty police officer during a robbery attempt.

 

Darius Miller Jr., 20, has been identified as the suspect.

 

Police say he broke into the police officer's home in the 4400 block of Furley Avenue in Northeast Baltimore on Monday, October 23.

 

The officer woke up to find the Miller Jr. in his home. He demanded money and the two fought, Police say the officer was able to get the gun away from the suspect and shoot him.

 

Miller Jr. died at the hospital.

 

The name of the officer has not been released.
