Baltimore Fire Crews are investigating a fire where a 55-year-old man was found dead Wednesday morning.
The flames broke out around 8 a.m. at a home in the 3600 block of 5th Street in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Baltimore. When crews got to the scene, they said they saw smoke and flames showing from the first floor of the two-story home.
Firefighters were able to make it inside and extinguish the fire quickly. On the first floor in a middle room, they found a man's body.
The man's identity has not been released at this time and the cause of death will be determined by the State Medical Examiner's Office.
Officials say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
So far this year there have been 11 fire fatalities in Baltimore City.
