Baltimore Fire officials say a man died after the vehicle he was in got trapped underneath an abandoned building that collapsed.
Fire and rescue personnel were called to the intersection of Payson Street and West Lafayette Avenue for reports of a building collapse around 4:30 p.m.
Crews found a vehicle buried under a structure that collapsed on top of it.
Reports said a person was inside of the vehicle and when units arrived they performed rescue operations to remove that person from the debris.
The male victim was transported to a local hospital where he died from the injuries he sustained, fire officials said.
The man's identity was not immediately available.
