Man charged with attempted murder after Central Baltimore shooting

BALTIMORE — A man is being charged with attempted murder after he shot a man in Central Baltimore.

On Tuesday at about 2:20 a.m., officers were on patrol when they heard gunshots coming from the 400 block of E. Baltimore Street. Officers immediately began to investigate and found a 31-year old man with gunshot wounds to his body.

He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Working with a City Watch camera operator, officers were able to find the shooting suspect in the 600 block of Water Street and suspected handgun used in the shooting.

Detectives from the Central District have charged 34-year old Traevon George with attempted murder, assault, and gun related charges.

He was taken to the Central Booking and Intake Facility.
