BALTIMORE — Community leaders came together to give a West Baltimore neighborhood some needed care.
Fayette Street Outreach Organization partnered with other businesses to clean up the area.
Organizers said West Baltimore has become a place for illegal dumping and they want to change that.
LJW Waste provided four large dumpsters for the cleanup and volunteers filled them up.
"It's real important because this is Fayette Street lot. We try to give people an opportunity to come back and do the will of the people. I started as a kid with Afro Clean Block and it's still with me. So, this is one of the things that we usually give to everybody."
Leaders said they hope to host a cleanup quarterly.
