Police call for tips, video in shooting death of local rapper 'Lor Scoota'

Baltimore City Police are asking for the public's to help make an arrest in the shooting death of Tyriece Travon Watson, a local rapper who went by the name "Lor Scoota."

No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have yet been made.

Police said Watson had just left a peace rally at Morgan State University when he was gunned down. A number of people attended the rally, and police are asking for pictures, video, or footage from the rally posted to Facebook, SnapChat or Periscope.

"We need some video from the incident," police spokesperson T.J. Smith said.

Police said several people have already called in about the shooting.  "We've received more tips probably than we've ever received before," Smith said.

Watson, 23, of the 1900 block of Clifton Avenue was shot and killed in northeast Baltimore Saturday evening. 

Officers responded to Harford Road at Moravia Road at approximately 6:56 p.m., where they discovered Watson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

Witnesses Watson was driving eastbound on Moravia Road when an unknown suspect stepped into the street and opened fire.

Police believe the incident was targeted.
