LA rock band visits Baltimore school to teach financial literacy

A band based out of Los Angeles is visiting schools across the U.S. to teach students about finances with a little rock 'n' roll.

GOODING stopped by Brehms Lane Elementary School Friday for its financial literacy tour.

The band uses their music to get students attention before getting to the logistics. GOODING wants students to learn about discipline early on so they don't fall into financial trouble later in life.

"It's a lot easier to start out on the good foot when you're young then to get into the whole and work your way out," said Gooding, a member of the band.

GOODING visited students at City Neighbors Charter and Lockerman Bundy Elementary Schools earlier in the week.

OrchKids partnered with the band's nonprofit, Funding the Future, for the concert tour. To read more about the band and its nonprofit, click here.
