Kids braved the heat Thursday to have fun and learn valuable football lessons from Ravens players at Lawrence Guy's Family and Football Day.
Living Classrooms teamed up with Guy to host the event at Power House Field. Kids in 1st to 8th grade were welcome to participate in the football stations.
The event focused on bringing the community together through football.
"You learn from football," said Lawrence Guy, Ravens defensive end and organizer of the event. "They get to learn a little bit more aspects of it, learn from the players and do all that so they can learn skills and they can learn to bond together as a group. So that's all we're really trying to achieve."
There were other things for kids to do, like jump in a bouncy house and get their faces painted.
The Anthem Foundation set up a mini health fair to teach participants about the important of eating healthy.
