Johns Hopkins University is organizing the first map-a-thon in Baltimore.

The map-a-thon is an effort to help Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria destroyed roads and damaged buildings.

Students, faculty, and staff are gathering on campus to help update maps so when people try to help, they know where to go and where help is most needed.

The Open Street Map they will be working on is a tech-based relief response that is starting nationally at college campuses.
